Vegan Cake

8 ounces self raising flour
2 oz cocoa, optional 
4 ounces caster sugar
2 fl ounces vegetable oil
approx 1/2 pint soya milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
  
Sieve flour and sugar twice.  Add liquid to dry ingredients, mix
quickly and bake 20 mins at gas mark 4.
