TVP Neatloaf serves 4 2 medium onions, chopped (250g, 1 1/2 cups) 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped oil or stock to saute 150g (2 cups) dried TVP granules - not rehydrated 450ml (2 cups) hot stock 2 cups fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes (or more to taste) 2 Tbsp wholemeal flour 4 Tbsp (1/4 cup) tomato ketchup or tomato sauce 1/2 tsp each of dried thyme, rosemary and sage, crumbled Finely-chopped fresh parsley to taste (optional) Saute the onions and garlic until soft. Mix all the other ingredients together; and when the onion and garlic are done, mix those in too. Leave the mixture to set for 5 minutes (the dried TVP will absorb the liquid). Either pack mixture into an oiled loaf tin (fits well into a 1lb one), or form into a mound on a baking sheet and optionally rub with oil. Bake at Gas Mark 4 / 180C / 350F for about an hour until set firmly and crisped up. Printable version: tvp-meatloaf03.txt.
