Recipe Archives->Vegetarian->Tofu Dominoes
Tofu Dominoes 1/2 lb. tofu, sliced into domino-sized pieces 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. flour 2 T. sesame seeds black pepper to taste 1/3 c. cooking oil 3 oz. mild cheese (Muenster, Colby, Cheddar, Fruliano), shredded 1 green onion, chopped Let the dominoes marinate in the soy sauce for at least 10 minutes, then turn and let the other side marinate. Heat half the oil in a skillet, and mix the flour with the sesame seeds and pepper. Dredge the dominoes well in the flour mixture and place a layer in the skillet. When brown, flip and brown the other sides. Serve with the cheese grated over the hot tofu, and sprinkle with onion. Variation: Omit the cheese and onions and serve with a good barbeque sauce.
