Veg Broth
(good for about 2 or 2 1/2 cups of uncooked gluten)

4 cups water
1/4 to 1/2 c tamari
3 inch piece of kombu
4-6 slices fresh ginger root
1 tbsp. sesame oil
a few sprinkles of old bay crab seasoning

Follow the recipe for making seitan, then form the seitan in little
twists and drop them in the boiling stock.  Remove them when ready,
and use as many as you like.  Seitan freezes a long time once cooked,
and these shrimpy pieces freeze really well when you lay them out
on cookie sheets, freeze them, then transfer them to ziploc bags.
