Wild Rice Mixture 1/4 cup wild rice 1/2 cup cold water 1/4 cup basmati brown rice 1/4 cup basmati white rice 1/4 cup Jasmine long grain rice 1 1/4 cups cold water, plus 2 tablespoons 1/4 cup cashews, toasted and crushed Wash wild rice in cold water and drain. In a small saucepan, add washed wild rice and cover with water, bring to boil and simmer for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and drain. Return saucepan with wild rice to stove and add 1/2 cup cold water, cover and bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed; do not drain. Meanwhile, combine Basmati brown and white rice, Jasmine rice in a bowl and rinse in cold water several times, changing water after each rinse. In medium size saucepan, combine wild rice, Basmati brown and white and Jasmine rice. Measure 1 1/4 cups of cold water, cover and bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
