PECAN TOFU TASSIES

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. honey or 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed tofu
2 tsp. vanilla 
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. unbleached flour 
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
6 oz. butterscotch chips
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. allspice

Cream together butter and honey. Beat in tofu and vanilla. Combine
dry ingredients; mix into butter and honey mixture. Dough should
be soft and a little sticky. Refriger- ate 1 hour. Drop by teaspoon
on ungreased cookie sheet; mash with fork. Top each cookie with
walnut or pecan half. Bake in 400 degrees oven for 10 to 12 minutes
until cookies just begin to brown. Makes 50 cookies.
