Mushrooms a la King 4 Lasagne noodles, cooked and drained and split lengthwise 2 Tablespoons oil (I use corn or peanut) 1 onion, chopped 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms 2 Tablespoons flour 1 1/2 cups milk 1/2 cup frozen peas 1 (2-oz) jar diced pimentos, drained 1 cup sour cream Saute the onions in the oil until they are starting to become translucent, add the mushrooms and stir until they are cooked through but not browned. Push the veggies to one side and add the flour. Stir one minute, add the milk and stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Add the peas and pimentos and stir. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream. Meanwhile, roll the 1/2 lasagne noodles into rings. This should create a ring about 2" in diameter that is 2 thicknesses of noodle. Place in a greased baking dish, cut side down. Spoon the mushroom sauce mixture evenly into the 8 noodle cups. Bake at 350F for about 20 minutes. Serves 4. Printable version: mushrooms-ala-king.txt.
