Lentil Cheese Savoury 6 oz lentils 450 ml water 2 onions thinly sliced 2 tsp oil, margerine or butter 5 oz strong chedder grated 4 wheatabix or crackers crumbled (I usually use saltines 1 tsp dried mixed herbs (ie.italian seasoning, herb de province) 3 tomatoes, roughly chopped 2 tbsp tomato paste (or sauce) Rinse lentils and cook till moist and soft, aprox. 29 minutes. Add more water if needed. Brown the onions in the fat. Mix all ingredients and tip into a greased shallow baking dish. Bake until sizzling, apox 30 minutes. Printable version: lentil-bake03.txt.
