Chinese Gourd and Tofu Stew Chinese gourd, diced into 1.5 x 1.5 cm squares tofu (beancurd), diced into 1.5 x 1.5 cm squares 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoon sugar water sweet chilli sauce a few drops of vinegar coriander Heat vegetable oil in a wok and add sugar. Stir in diced gourd, add in little bit of water, and put the lid on the wok and cook. When the gourd is soft, stir in beancurd and sweet chilli sauce. Some more water might be needed as beancurd absorbs water quickly. Stir until the stew is smooth, add in a few drops of vinegar, some coriander and serve. Printable version: gourd-tofu-stew.txt.
