Mock Cheese Sauce 2 cups water 1/2 cup nutritional yeast 2 T. flour 2 T. cornstarch 1/2 t. salt 1/2 to 1 t. garlic powder Mix and heat over medium burner while stirring. When the mixture bubbles and thickens up, take off the heat. Add: 2 t. prepared mustard 2 T. soy margarine (or butter or regular margarine). Stir in. This is good hot or cold. If too stiff cold, stir in a little water. We eat it on rice, on diced potatoes, on toast or as a dip for small piece of bread or toast. It would be a good dip for vegetables. Or, use in place of cheese sauce in casseroles and other recipes. Printable version: cheese-sauce03.txt.
