Barbecue-style Tofu Yield: 4 servings 1 container extra firm tofu 1/3 cup olive oil 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter 1 tsp salt 1 tablespoon paprika (smoked paprika is good, but use less) 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt Your favorite barbecue sauce, bottled or home made Remove tofu from carton and drain very well. Slice tofu into finger thick slices. Combine marinade ingredients well with whisk and coat tofu evenly and let stand at room temperature one hour. Lay tofu slices with marinade on a baking pan and bake 400F for about 20 minutes and carefully turn over and bake another 20 minutes, so each side is somewhat browned. Remove pan from oven, spread on your favorite barbecue sauce and heat through 5 to 10 minutes in the oven. Printable version: bbq-tofu.txt.
