Date-Nut Sauce 7 1/4 to 8 oz package pitted dates, chopped 1/8 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup water 1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup 1/2 cup chopped Walnuts In 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, heat dates. salt and water to boiling. remove from heat. Stir in corn syrup and chopped walnuts. Serve warm over apple, pear or pumpkin pie or ice cream. Printable version: date-nut.txt.
