Bagels With Lemon Chicken and Avocado Sauce 1 lb ground chicken 1 egg 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp each pepper, oregano and paprika 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest 1 clove garlic, minced 4 bagels, halved 1 cup sliced mushrooms 2 tomatoes, sliced romaine lettuce 1/4 lb cream cheese 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 cup yogurt 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce juice of 1/2 lemon Combine all sauce ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Refrigerate sauce. Combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, lemon zest and garlic. Shape into 4 patties about 4 inches in diameter and 3/4 inch thick. Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes per side until no longer pink inside. Arrange tomato slices then sliced mushrooms over bottom half of each bagel.
