Plum Butter

ground cloves
allspice
Drop plums in boiling water and then plunge in cold to remove skin.
Peel, pit and dice. Weigh fruit. For every pound add 1/2 cup
sugar and cook fruit till tender. Puree and weigh measure again.
For every quart add 2 cups sugar, 1 t cinnamon, 1/4 t ground cloves,
or 1/2 t allspice. Place in crockpot or casserole dish and bake
at 300 degrees F until spreadable. Pour into jars and process
(pressure can).
