Cherry Leaves 6-8 oz cherry leaves (pick as soon as possible from the time the blossoms drop) 4 tablespoons salt Wash leaves. Drain gently in strainer. Place evenly in a steamer and steam for 2-3 minutes. Soak leaves in cold water for a moment and place in strainer to drain. Put leaves in a container and sprinkle salt. Place a weight on top to draw out water (next day). Transfer to a container. Printable version: cherry-leaves.txt.
