Apple pie in a jar 4 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup cornstarch 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon salt 10 cups water 3 tablespoons lemon juice 28 cups sliced apples Cook sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and water until thick and bubbly. Add lemon juice. Pack apples into 7 Quart jars pour syrup over and work it down. Process 20 Min. BWB. Printable version: apple-pie-filling05.txt.
