Blue Cheese and Bacon Crescent Rolls 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls 3 ounces blue cheese 3 ounces cream cheese 1 cup bacon bits, freshly cooked 1 apple, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 1 1/2 cups chopped spinach 4 tablespoons margarine, melted 1/4 cup milk olive oil walnuts, finely chopped Heat oven to 350. In medium bowl, blend blue cheese, cream cheese and margarine until smooth. Add bacon, apple, onion, spinach and milk, mix well. Separate dough into 8 rectangles; firmly press perforations around edges together to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup of cheese and bacon mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture, twist slightly and seal edges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops with olive oil, sprinkle with walnuts. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Notes: I often substitute ham for the chicken. The more you make variations, the more creative you will find yourself getting. The last time I made them, I came up with the following creation. These also freeze well and can be reheated. In fact, I made this version months ago and it came out of the freezer still good tasting. Printable version: cheese-bacon-rolls.txt.
