Rhubarb Sponge Pie

2 eggs, separated
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons (melted) butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups fresh rhubarb (peeled and sliced)
9-inch unbaked pie crust

Put egg yolks, suger, melted butter, flour and milk into bowl and
blend.  Beat egg whites till stiff and fold into mixture.  Stir in
lemon juice and add rhubarb.  Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake
at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then turn oven down to 350 and bake
for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted into pie comes out clean.
(This recipe has been passed down thru our family for over 100
years.)
