Plum Pie Crust: Mix one cup of flour with one stick (1/4 lb) butter or margarine. Mix with your fingers until it's like crumbs. Pat it into an oiled pie pan. (There is no top crust for this pie.) Filling: Halve and pit the plums. Put them into the crust, starting at the outside and going around and around, until you have as many in the crust as you can fit. Put a lot of sugar on top: maybe as much as 1/2 cup-3/4 cup. Sprinkle with lots of cinnamon: maybe 2-3 teaspoons. Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes, until juices thicken some and it's all hot and bubbly. Let cool. Serve with whipped cream. Sometimes it comes out too juicy: you could prevent this by putting a little (maybe a teaspoon to a tablespoon) of tapioca granules on the crust before filling it with the plums.
