Mince Pie Alaska 9 inch prepared pie shell baked and cooled 1 quart of favorite vanilla ice cream 1 cup bottled mincemeat 4 egg whites 3 Tbs sugar Soften ice cream and blend in mincemeat and place in chilled pie shell and place in freezer until firm. Beat whites almost stiff and beat in sugar till whites are glossy stiff but not dry. Spread meringue over pie filling all the way to the edges. Bake 450 F about 4 to 5 minutes or until peaks are browned. Immediately place in freezer. Keep in freezer until ready to serve or may be kept in freezer a day ahead of time.
