Black-Eyed Pea Pie
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
pinch of salt
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Mix all the ingredients well, in a large
bowl. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve pie
warm from the oven with whipped cream or ice cream.
