Pasta With Spicy Pea Sauce 2 c. yellow split peas 1 T olive oil 1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/4 tsp chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp allspice 1/4 c. lemon juice 2 tsp grated lemon rind Fettucine Cover peas with cold water in a large pan and boil, uncovered for 25 minutes. Drain. Heat the oil in a pan. Add onion, garlic, and cook for 2 minutes. Add spices, stir for 2 more minutes. Add the peas, lemon juice and rind. Cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook your pasta until just tender. Pour sauce over drained pasta and serve immediately. Printable version: pasta-spicy-peas.txt.
