Coricos 1 pound vegetable shortening 2 pounds corn masa mix 1 large egg 2 cups sugar pinch salt Preheat oven to 425 F. degrees. Grease cookie sheet with a small amount of shortening and set aside. In a large bowl,cream vegetable shortening until very soft. Add egg, sugar and salt, and mix together. Add the corn masa mix and stir well. Shape masa dough into designs like flowers, rings,etc. in the size you prefer. Place shapes on the cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until coricos are a light golden brown. Makes from 30 to 100 depending on size.
