Finnish Christmas Stars (Joulutortut) 300 g butter 4.5 dl wheat flour 2 dl water Mix soft butter with flour and water. Place in cold until hard. (You can store it in a cold place overnight.) Roll out very thin, fold sides in the middle, overlapping. Roll and fold at least three times. For better results let cool after every folding. 300 g dried prunes 1 dl water sugar to taste Boil prunes in water until they fall apart. Add sugar. Mix well and let cool. Roll out the dough to half centimeter thickness. Cut it to squares. Place a teaspoonfull of filling on the center of each square. Cut a little from each corner towards the center. Fold left-side halfs of each corner to the middle, on top of filling. Pinch tightly. Brush with egg. Bake in 225 C oven for 8 - 10 minutes. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
