Frozen Sherry Fig Dessert bunch of figs sherry sugar vanilla whipping cream Cut up a bunch of figs into bite-size pieces. Marinate them in some sherry for an hour or so. Add sugar and vanilla to whipping cream and then whip until peaks form. Drain the sherry off the figs except for maybe a tablespoon or so. Fold the figs and the tablespoon of sherry into the whipped cream and then put the whole mess into a container that you can put in the freezer. Depth should not be more than 2-3 inches. Cover container and put in freezer. Freeze til pretty solid. Remove from freezer and let thaw just until you can cut it into portions. Serve immediately. You can also do this with fresh peaches.
