Mackerel Cakes 

1 1/2 pounds fresh or frozen mackerel fillets withot skin
1 small chopped onion
1 level tablespoon salt 
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 small boiled potato
1 tablespoon potato starch 

Cut the fillets in smaller pieces, and blend all in a food processor.  
Fry over moderate heat in a teflon frying pan.  Serve with boiled
potatoes and carrots, and a green salad or cucumber salad made from
thinly sliced cucumber in slightly diluted, sweetened vinegar with    
a pinch of salt and black ground pepper.
