Croutons (for spreads) 8-ounce French baguette, in 1/2 inch slices 1/4 c (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted Preheat oben to 400 F. Arrange bread slices on baking sheet. Brush both sides with butter. Bake until crisp and golden brown, about 10 min. Cool slightly. Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cool completely; store in plastic bag at room temp. Printable version: croutons.txt.
