Brandy Fruit Cheese Roll 1/2 cup dried apricots 1/4 cup mixed glace fruit 2 Tbsp brandy 250 g cream cheese 1/2 cup grated mild cheddar cheese 1 tsp grated orange rind 3/4 cup poppy seeds Chop dried and glace fruits, combine in a bowl with brandy, allow to stand, covered, for at least 1-2 hours. Beat the cheeses together, add the fruit mixture and orange rind, mix well. Refrigerate for one hour. Roll the mix into a log, then place poppy seeds on a dinner plate and roll cheese in poppy seeds to coat well. Refrigerate 24 hours before serving, serve with dry biscuits such as Breton brand crackers, or digestive biscuits. Printable version: cheese-roll.txt.
