Suet Pudding 1/2 lb flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 3 ozs sugar Pinch salt 1/2 lb suet 1 gill water or milk (2.4 US Ounces) Golden Syrup Put saucepan of water on to boil. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Shred suet and rub it in to the flour. Add sugar. With wooden spoon mix water in. Have ready cloth well floured. Put pudding on and tie so that water cannot get in. Put into boiling water, boil 1 1/2 hours. Warm some golden syrup in small saucepan and serve it with the pudding. When pudding is cooked, lift it out of saucepan, remove cloth and turn it on to a warm dish, serve with golden syrup. Printable version: suet02.txt.
