STEAMED COFFEE CARAMEL 1/4 tin condensed milk 1 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1 Tbsp golden syrup Heat the above ingredients in a small saucepan. Mix well and pour into the base of a greased basin. 1 egg 1/2 cup sugar 2 Tbsp melted butter 1/2 cup milk 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cream of tartar 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 Tbsp coffee essence Beat egg and sugar until light. Add butter and milk with soda dissolved in it. Sift dry ingredients. Fold in and add vanilla and coffee essence. Pour into basin and steam 1 hour. Printable version: coffee-caramel.txt.
