Scalded Milk Cake 4 to 6 eggs 2 cup sugar 2 cup flour 2 Tbl baking powder 1 cup milk 1/4 lb butter 2 Tbl Crisco 2 Tbl vanilla Beat eggs and sugar until light. Sift flour three or four times before measuring. Add baking powder to flour and sift again. Add to batter in two batches, beating after each addition. Boil together butter and milk and while boiling pour over batter. Add vanilla last. Beat well and bake in 2 9-inch pans for 30 minutes at 375 degrees or until tests done.
