Earth Cake

1 1/2 cups boiling water or apple juice
1 cup oats
1 stick margarine
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
3 eggs
1/2 - 1 cup raisins
1/2 - 1 cup chopped nuts (can be a mixture of nuts)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon rum or rum flavoring
1 teaspoon brandy or brandy flavoring
3/4 cup sesame seeds
poppy seeds

Heat oven to 350.  Grease a bundt pan well.  Let oatmeal sit in
water (juice).  Cream butter and sugars.  Blend in eggs one at a
time.  Stir in flavorings.  Add in flour, salt, soda and spices.
Beat till smooth.  Add oats, then stir in seeds, raisins, and nuts.
Bake 35-40 minutes.  Let cool 10 minutes, then turn onto plate.
