Buttermilk Cake 2 1/2 cups flour 1 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups buttermilk 1/2 cup butter, softened 3 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla 1/2 cup softened butter 8 oz cream cheese 1 box confectioner's sugar Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 13x9 baking pan. Place all ingredients into a large mixer and blend at low speed for one minute. Scrape down sides of bowl. Increase speed to high and beat for 2 to 3 minutes until well combined. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan and frost with icing. Icing: Mix well 1/2 cup softened butter, the cream cheese, and the confectioners sugar. Cool cake and then spread with the icing.
