CHOCOLATE CHIP-MINI MUFFINS

1/2 c sugar
1/4 c shortening
1 egg
1/2 c milk
1/2 t vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
2/3 c miniature semi-sweet chips

In large bowl, cream sugar & shortening until fluffy. Add egg, milk
and vanilla; mix well. Combine dry ingredients. Gradually add to
creamed mixture; mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon one
tablespoon into greased or paper-lined mini-muffin cups. Bake at
375 for 10 - 13 minutes.  Cool in pan 10 minutes before moving to
wire rack. Makes
