Panettone 2/3 cup milk 1 large egg 1 tablespoon butter 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups bread flour 1/4 cup coarsely chopped dried or candied pineapple 1/4 cup chopped candied citron, drained of syrup 1 teaspoon anise seed, crushed 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast Add ingredients to pan, adding pineapple and citron with flour (if dough is too dry or too soft, adjust as needed either adding a teaspoon of liquid or flour). Use white bread cycle (light color). Top loaf with a powdered sugar icing (1/2 cup powder sugar and enough milk (2 to 3 teaspoons) to make a icing). Printable version: panettone03.txt.
