BANANA-NUT WHEAT BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)

1 pkg yeast
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon maple extract (optional)
1/2 cup pecans
1 md ripe banana, sliced (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 cup warm water
1 to 2 tablespoons gluten, optional

Put all the ingredients into pan in the order listed, select "whole
wheat" and push "start."
