Papaya Salad (Thai: Som Tam)

1 green papaya  or 1 large cucumber
2-3 chilies (more or less)
2 carrots
3 long beans
2 tomatoes
20 gr. dried shrimps 
20 gr. peanuts
1 Tablespoon palm sugar or brown sugar 
1 teaspoon Fish sauce (Salt)
1/4 lemon 
1-2 garlic cloves

Put the garlic, shrimps, peanuts, chilies, the sliced tomatoes, the
fine sliced carrots and beans in mortar and grind softly. Add the
lemon, sugar and the fish sauce into it and mix everything together.
Cut the Papaya (Cucumber) into small and fine stripes and mix it
within the mortar together with the other ingredients. During the
mixing everything should be slightly ground.

Tip: The salad will be served on a flat plate and it is decorated
with salad or cabbage. This salad you can eat as a snack or with
sticky rice.
