Vietnamese Ginger Chicken (GA KHO) 1 1/2 tablespoons oil 2-inch piece fresh ginger, julienned 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken, sliced 2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon thick soy sauce 1 tablespoon fish sauce 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 onion, cubed salt, to taste Heat oil and fry ginger, garlic and shallot until brown. Add chicken and stir-fry for 1 minute, then add all ingredients. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring often until sauce thickens. Printable version: ginger-chicken03.txt.
